John the Don is the runaway winneer for 2006 for his sustained pursuit of buffoonery during the World Cup trip through Germany. He broke into an early lead with comments such as Viva Espana to a group of Mexicans, to the classic reply when the king of the pixies asked what a cyclist was doing "that's one of those parapligics". The outcome however was put beyond doubt, when he filled up the water tank on the camper van with £40 worth of diesel. John the Don we salute you
